Update Patch Release Notes

IGP:DP 5.8.0 - Updates, Upgrades & Enhancements

The following updates have been implemented in this release:

CSS Editor updates

The load on IGP:Digital Publisher installed server increases when multiple Save events are completed in the CSS Editor. Since IGP:Digital Publisher creates a revision of the CSS Data, the size of the revised content with multiple changes made, also keeps increasing. This resulted in increased load on the server and affected the performance of document in terms of Navigation between menus and options, Save events, Format Generation, Content Processing tools etc.

To overcome this problem, the below warning message will be displayed when a user exceeds the maximum allowed limit of 500 save events in the CSS editor.

"You have reached the maximum limit set of CSS Revisions. It is recommended that you create a CSS version at this point. This will set the revision count to 0 and also improve performance."

Upon receiving this message it is recommended that a user creates a new "CSS Version" by clicking the button "Version" available at the top of the "CSS Editor" interface. After a new version is created all CSS revision history will be saved under this version from zero "0" to "500". Not creating a new Version does not mean the CSS Save events will not be accepted, however in the longer run it will affect the performance.

StaticSite updates

There are certain important updates introduced in the Static Sites that can be published in IGP:Digital Publisher(DP).

  1. Static Site Publish history is now captured in the system. To view the Static Site Publish history, you must click the Document History option that displays after clicking the particular document title. Static Site Publish History will be displayed below the Document Version History.
  2. Document Versions are now maintanined in the DP, when a document is published as a Live Static Site.
  3. Document Title and Search URL entries in each static webpage is now inserted during format generation process.
  4. The information entered in the IGP Metadata block, is now stripped during static site format generation. This block contained the processing instruction tags and was not required in the final output. Since it has no relevance, this is will be removed at the time of format generation.

Filter Dropdown updates

Added "Presentation Template" in filter dropdown list for all Document interface.

Ornament Generation Process updates

There were number of CSS declarations that were not handled for font extraction. This is now handled.

The Line color now is controlled with a check box. If turned off, no line color is applied during ornament generation.

The ornament generation settings are saved in the application database. This is stored in the DPI Info record and should also be carried over to a copy of document.

Multi Language ID generation and Multi Language Stub Creation

Multi-language digital content production with languages by paragraph can now been done in IGP:Digital Publisher (DP). If you are interested in the potential and possibilities of multi-language digital books, IGP support staff has already created the first test/demonstration ePub3.

For detailed information on the Multi-Language digital content production, please read the blog post available at the following link.

IGP:DP 5.8.0 - Presentation Template updates

The Master Presentation Templates will be updated by IGP during the update activity. If you have created any custom templates based on the IGP Master Templates, please check that these updates are applied in your templates if applicable.

  • Added the "display: block;" to the .qaa-set-rw .feedback-messages {} class in Reader CSS.
  • Added the "Format Processing" for Language processing in DPI Form.

IGP:DP 5.8.0 - Bug Fixes

  1. AIE JS updates - The following fixes have been done

    1. Multi-Language and language codes updates done in the JS file.

    2. aie_lang.js file reference is included in the js_package_conf.ini

    3. QAA Set - qaa score was not displying correctly.

    4. QAA Set problem with Tapescript - The Pop-Up button becomes enabled only after check is clicked. On QAA Set though the button never becomes enabled.

    5. The options sources named both "Butter" so the student can associated them with multiple targets ("Cake" and "Sandwich")

    6. Text-match: After a word from "word-bank (answer pool)" is dropped in blank field/box, and double click/tap to move the word back to word-bank it did not work. This particular behaviour happens only if there are same words repeated in the word-bank (answer pool).

    7. Text-match: If there are same words repeated in the word-bank, and are dropped in the available blank field/box and click the "Check" button and then click the "Try Again" button for the wrong answer (as when 1 word was correct and 1 was wrong), instead of showing one word in the answer pool, it shows both the words.

    8. Grouping: Pool any word from the word-bank (answer pool) to the available target area and tap or click on the word to return to the "word bank" wasn't working.

    9. On clicking ‘Check’ button one should NOT be able to select again the items that have already been selected and are marked as wrong or correct.

    10. Where we have TWO or more players they can play the recordings simultaneously! This is fixed to allow only one audio to play at a time.

    11. In a "Word Pool" if there is a word "you" and "yourself" or "there" and "therefore", and one drops the word ‘yourself’ in any gap and double click on it, then both ‘yourself’ AND ‘you’ are returned back to Word Pool!

    12. On clicking ‘Check’ button without having answered/completed the Ex., the ‘Wrong’ score part should appear ‘0’.

  2. TIB Merge was failing. The last update checked the content inside the tags to see if they were different. But this caused additional issues as the TIB block contained the tags inserted by users inside it. This caused the mismatch and tib merge to fail. This is now fixed.

  3. Updated presentation styling for TIB interface.

  4. Static Site - File reference from a poster attribute was missing. This is now fixed.

  5. SCORM export files - Scorm format exports 2 css files. The first one has the project’s name and the second “rw-layout.css”. The rw-layout.css contains unnecessary style. This file has been excluded from the SCORM packager.

  6. The font-family value in a Property of any Selector was generated wrong when there was !important word used in it during the IGP: Remix and Dynamic Remix events. This is now fixed.
