Update Patch Release Notes

IGP:DP 4.5.0 - Updates, Upgrades & Enhancements

The following updates have been implemented in this release:

  1. Bulk Project Results - Serial Number (Sr. No.) column is now added to the Bulk Projects Results interface that appears when creating projects in bulk using the Bulk Projects option. The Sr. No column option now allows you to know the exact count of projects that were created after importing metadata spreadsheet in IGP: Digital Publisher.

  2. Uploading Progress Bar - Users can now see a progress bar when importing a DP Archieve Package in order to create a new document in their Private Documents, User Project Documents  and Administration Project Documents.

  3. ID generation - The following updates have been done

    1. When generating ID's, if found any Duplicate ID's the sections will be reported on the interface.

    2. SVG child elements ID's would be generated in a sequential order throughout the document and this feature will also change its ID references in the SVG accordingly.

  4. Updates for AIE JS - AIE and ALL-IN updates for bug fixes, improvements, new features, and new interactive modules developed.

  5. Slugline text for Print PDF - A new option named Slug line text is now introduced in the Document Processing Instruction DPI Form for Print PDF Processing Options. Users can now enter their own custom text in this field and upon this saving this the same text will appear in the Slug Line instead of the default Indentifier. This custom text will replace the default content that appears in Identifier.

  6. Navigation Display Set - Added option 500 and 1000 in the dropdown list of Display Set on all interfaces.

  7. Multiple FOD Worklist Handler implemented - This is to handle multiple FOD requestes to be fed to multiple worklist. The existing DP installations have only one Worklist handler running at the moment due to which users have to wait in Queue for the formats to generate. With the release of Multiple FOD (Formats on Demand) Worklist Handler,  multiple format requests can be made and multiple formats can be generated at the same time.

    New option "Processing Jobs" is available under the Administration and Maintainance Dashboard on the main DP interface, which displays the status of the formats generation queue.

    Administration Processing Jobs will show the list only in  the Account context. However Maintainance Processing Jobs will show the list in all Accounts context.

  8. Writer Section History updates - The following updates have been done in Section History Manager

    1. Save Event Types - The "Edit Type" coloumn of the "Section History Manager" interface now has been extended and displays the following events based on the type of action or events.

      1. Draft - This event is triggered when new "Page Template" is inserted in the document.Upon viewing the section history the Edit Type coloumn will show the status as "Draft".

      2. Replace - This event is triggered when you click the option "Promote As Active" from the Section History Manager. The status of the "Edit Type" coloumn will thus change to "Replace".

      3. Navigation Save - This event is triggered when a user makes a change in the Writer and navigates from the active section to another section of the document and saves the changes made by clicking the button "Yes" in the Confirmation dialog box that appears on the Writer interface before moving into the next section. The status of the "Edit Type" in this case will change to "Navigation Save".

      4. Manual Save - This event is triggered when a user does a save operation using the "Save Section" button available on the top left hand corner of the Writer interface. The status of the "Edit Type" column will display as "Manaul Save".

      5. Auto Save - At the moment the "Auto Save" event in DP is set to occur after every 30 Minutes. When a particular section is kept open the Writer and no activity is performed in the Writer for a period of 30 minutes the "Auto Save" event is triggered by the system. The Edit Type column  status in this case will be changed to "Auto Save".

      6. Auto hyperlinking - This event is triggered when "Auto External Hyperlinking" is done.

      7. Find Replace - This event is triggered when "Find & Replace" is done.

      8. Manuscript Import - This event is triggered when "Import Manuscript" is done.

      9. Remix - This event is triggered when "Remix" is done.

      10. Dynamic Remix - This event is triggered when "Dynamic Remix" is done.

      11. Copy Section - This event is triggered when "Copy Section" is done.

      12. Re-insert Section - This event is triggered when "Re-insert Section" is done.

    2. Delete All AutoSaves - A new option named "Delete All AutoSaves" is now introduced on the "Section History Manager" interface. This option can be used to remove all the "Auto Save" from the Section History.

      There are a few rules with "Delete All AutoSaves"

      1. "Delete All AutoSaves" will NOT work when the last save operation is "Auto Save".

      2. "Delete All AutoSaves" will only work when when the last save is anything other than "Auto Save".

  9. MediaManager - SVG to PNG - Used Inkscape to do the svg to png conversion. The current tool was rsvg-convert. This failed for some of the new SVG files.

  10. Copy Section - A new option named "Copy Section" is now introduced on the "Section Tools" interface. This option can be used to copy an existing Section and create a new one.

  11. Re-insert Section - A new option named "Re-Insert Section" is now introduced on the Section Tools "Delete History Manager" interface. This option can be used to re-insert a deleted section into the document back.

IGP:DP 4.5.0 - Bug Fixes

  1. Kindle: table header(th) align was not support in output Mobi format. Now set text alignment according to the style statement.

  2. Notes and Footnotes Processing - Using Move Notes to Document End, Notes are not linked properly in output. The linking was always going to the first note in frontmatter section. This is now fixed

  3. PDF - Some internal linking in document (from paragraph to figure, and from figure caption to paragraph) were not going to correct destination. This is now fixed

  4. Admin Users Projects - Sorting was not working for "Project" column.

  5. SMIL Processing - Filenaming rules are not applied to Label Track .txt file that is re-uploaded into Document Components > smil folder.

  6. Index hyperlinking was not working as pagebreak span element ID were getting removed, now changes made to retain those ID's.

  7. Writer Save Bug fix - CTRL S was triggering save on locked pages as well. Additional exception handling done on save functions to check for read mode.

  8. Removed CSS statements having empty property values, during format generation.

  9. Imprint Logo was not rendering for Print PDF when uploaded in Accounts components.

  10. Writer Load sequence update - Due to the existing load sequence, it was possible for the end user to click on a section in writer toc, while the first section was getting reloaded. A subsequent save would then overwrite the highlighted section content with the title page content.

  11. The formats generation activity Inprocess spinner icon was not displaying properly on browser.

  12. Modifying the User Firstname and Lastname on Digital Publisher interface, would not update the details in Reader database.

  13. Document Designer - Modifications done in combination of page size and inside/outside margin values were not getting saved.
