Getting Started - Maintainer

A maintainer is a user authorized to view and use the application Maintenance Tools.

Before you can start creating Publisher accounts and distributing digital content you must configure maintenance options completely and correctly. This page is a guideline to the topics in this User Manual you will need to understand and follow before the system can be used and activities can start.

There are a number of interfaces to standard ONIX metadata that will not be required to be changed in the setup activities.

Create and Maintain Distribution Channels

You must set up the channels you want to make available to your publisher users. These will come pre-configured, but you can add channels at any time.

Create and Maintain Channel Format Maps

You must set up the channels format maps as per the requirements. These will come pre-configured, but you can add/edit the channel format maps at any time if the requirements change.

Create Publisher Accounts

You must create Accounts for each Publisher that is going to use the system.
