Conformance Warnings

Interface Overview

Conformance warning indicate that your metadata is incomplete and an ONIX distributon event cannot take place as a result. You can directly go to the book ONIX metadata editor to make any required corrections.

Make corrections to the metadata

To Start

1. From the Main Page, click the Status button. 
2. In the Status page, click Conformance Warnings. You can also jump to Conformance Warnings from any screen by clicking on the Conformance Alerts link on the top left of any screen of IGP:Distribution Manager.
3. The Conformance Alerts screen will show a list of titles along with the Error Code and Error message, if there is any in the medadata.

To make corrections to the metadata

1. From the list of Conformance Alerts, browse for the alert you want to correct so that it can be readied for distribution events.
2. After finding the alert you want to modify, click the Modify Metadata (Green) button from the Tools section of the book. This square button has the Letter M inside it.
3. The Edit Book Metadata form will appear on the screen.
4. This form is only a filled up Create a new ONIX record form, so we will not discuss the parts of the form in detail.
5. Make the necessary modifications you want.
6. Click Save to confirm the modification of the Book Metadata.
7. To return to the previous page without making any modifications to the Book Metadata, click Cancel.
