Update Patch Release Notes
The following updates have been implemented in this release:
Media Manager updates - Basis of the feedback we have received from users, the following options are introduced on the Media Manager interface.
Delete all items - A new button named 'Delete Media' is introduced which can be used to delete all files from a particular Folder i.e Covers, Icons, Images folders etc or delete all media files from all folders at one go. The 'Delete Media' button is available along side the Doc Galleries, Upload and Settings buttons.
All you have to do is click the 'Delete Media' button and you will be directed to the 'Select Delete Location' interface. You must select the target location or folder name from where you want to delete all the media files or you can also keep the option "All" selected and click the "Delete All" button.
Upon completing this action all the media under a particular folder or from all folder will be deleted depending upon the target location you have selected.
Delete selected items - You can now individually select multiple media items under a particular folder and delete the selected media files.
A check-box is introduced beneath every media file along side the other options like 'i' Information, Copy and Rename.
Select this check-box for every media item you want to delete and then click the Delete Media button available on the top right hand corner of the Media Manager interface.
A dialog box will be appear asking for a confirmation if you want to delete the selected items. You must click OK if you want to continue else click Cancel to stop this process.
Bulk upload media - You can now upload a .zip file containing images in bulk. The .zip file must be uploaded using the 'Single File Upload' option.
In-case of Rich Media files you must upload two separate .zip files each containing audio and video. This restriction applies only when you are uploading the rich media files.
Notes Linking: Notes in section end of the Writer will now be linked by default on eBook format generation which did not work previously. This issue is now fixed.
Kindle Image Metadata Block: When attempting to change the logo image default width and height using the Kindle Image Metadata Block under Imprint Block, the new custom values applied did not render in the output. This issue occurred due to an error in the format processing. This issue is now fixed and the custom values applied now get rendered successfully.
Typography In the Browser (TIB) Load issue for heavy sections: For certain sections in a document that were particularly heavy (number of pages in the section) resulted in failure of the PDF generation in TIB. This problem resulted is slowing down the production work-flow.
Fix for empty paragraphs and using the "return" key in Writer. Writer removes <p> </p> on server side. The new Edit 2 converts <p> </p> to <p> </p> before sending it to server for Save. This conversion was not happening on the Page Navigation Save event. This is now retained on the Page Navigation event also.
Index validation errors were appearing for ePub2, when there was introduction text before the index list in the index section. This is now fixed
DP Security Issues - Updated code for the following to authenticate before the action taken.
For DP actions like delete document, project & user by using url.
For DP actions when user logs out the DP account respective reader/writer sessions deleted from FLIP database.
Removed unwanted Reader url, that used to open directly in browser without login
The DPI Auto generated TOC issue for 'chapter' section. The chapter title was not appearing in auto generated Table Of Content when document contained the 'part' section. This is now fixed
Incorrect Image Resolution: On uploading a CMYK image with any resolution; Media Manager displayed the resolution of the images to 300 dpi only and did not show the actual image resolution which was incorrect. However the actual image resolution of the image was retained in the output format generated using DP. The issue with incorrect resolution figures displayed specifically for the CMYK images is now fixed.
Change Document Owner: When attempting to change the owner of a document (Project/User) upon keying in wrong information and clicking the OK button resulted in displaying a message stating "Failed To Change Owner". Upon reloading the screen the document thus disappeared from the User context and appeared in the Administration Library and this was a incorrect behaviour.
Kindle Image resize issue in KindleFire through the blocks - KF8 SUBSTITUTE STYLES CSS available in Reader CSS will now appear in the output kindle. Also Images having Kindle format metadata-rw will now have the width class and the align="" height="" width="360" attributes for <img>. However Images not having Kindle format metadata-rw will only have the width class
DPI option 'Remove Index Page Numbers' was not working for ebook formats
Removed KF8 SUBSTITUTE CSS STYLES from the ePub2 and epub3 and also Reader CSS - ZW OUTPUT FORMAT PROCESSING for ADE /* find */ and /* replace */ was not working.
