Update Patch Release Notes


IGP:DP 3.4.0 - Updates, Upgrades & Enhancements

The following updates have been implemented in this release:

  1. Dynamic Remix - Dynamic Remix is an extension to the core static remix feature. The purpose of Dynamic Remix is to allow the inclusion of maintained information pages from a source document into multiple target documents. All source document changes will reflect in the dynamic document remixed section including content, components and CSS.   2. Typography Report Extension - Page Number Synchronization feature is now integrated with Document Typography Report Generation.A text box is now added on the Typography Report interface to allow users to enter the body section start real page numbers (RPN's). The default value is this text field is 1. This modification is introduced for documents in which the Frontmatter starts with page number 1 or where the body section start with page number number other that 1
  3. Indexer updates - Following updates have been done for indexer:
    1. Edit Term - A mini rich text editor is now introduced which can be used to apply styles like Bold, Italics and Underline when you specifically want to apply these styles to a part or the entire index term. Click the button "E" against the index term to launch the Term Editor interface.
    2. Check missing references - A new button named "Missing Page Ref's" is now introduced on the Index Creator interface. On clicking this button all the missing references (*'s) against a particular index term will be highlighted in "Red". This new functionality eliminates the tedious task of verifying if every term is linked correctly in the text. Only the *'s (stars) that appear in Red will have to be deleted and linked correctly once again.
    3. See/See-also sorting - Multiple "See" and "See Also" references against a Index term will now be sorted in alphabetical order. The alphabetical sorting process is automated and will be triggered at the time of format generation. The "See" and "See Also" terms will be sorted alphabetically in the final output.
  4. Protocol updates - DP code updates done for compatibility with HTTPS deployment also
  5. Bulk User upload - Creation of bulk users in an account is now implemented. A new button 'Bulk User' is available under the Admin > Users. The speadsheet template can be downloaded from the below mentioned URL, that can be used for creating bulk users into the system.

  6. Bulk Project upload - Creation of bulk projects with/without documents is now implemented. A new button 'Bulk Project' is available under the Admin > Project. The speadsheet template can be downloaded from the below mentioned URL, that can be used for uploading multiple projects into the system with metadata.

  7. Email notification on User Creation - On creating a new user in IGP:Digital Publisher will now send an automated email notification  to the user's email address confirming that the account is created.  This email will contain login name and the activation link where the users must reset the password.
  8. Forgot Username / Forgot Password - These two links are now available on the DP login interface, wherein when the User clicks and enters the eMail address (that is associated with the Username), an eMail notification is send with the details.
  9. Resend activation email - A 'Send' button is introducted in the Users Interface, wherein on click an email with the activation link will be re-supplied.
  10. Auto Generate Contents Page from Writer - TOC list generation is now  modified to create two toc-list blocks, according to reader-exclude and print-exclude.

  11. Compare Revisions - is updated to use a new html diff library that provides more consistent difference report. Also, the styles for insertion and deletions have been changed.

  12. Enhancements in Media Manager - The following enhancements are now implemented in Media Manager

    1. File Upload Status - A confirmation message is now displayed in Media Manager upon uploading a new file. The message will be displayed on top of the  Single File and Multi File upload interface.
       

    2. Multi-file Upload updates - The multi file upload form is updated to use the latest browser features and also allows drag and drop feature now. All you need to do is to simply select the files you want to upload; drag and drop the files on "Or Drop you files" option with Green background availalble  next to the Browse button and the Upload button. Once the upload is successful a confirmation message will be display on top of the Multi File Upload interface.

IGP:DP 3.4.0 - Bug Fixes

  1. Insert SVG Content from Media Manager - User can insert the SVG content directly into the Writer from Media Manager. When user selects a SVG file for insertion, the application retrieves the SVG data from the server and inserts it to the cursor position. Earlier, The SVG insertion would insert the link to a the online image for the SVG file.
  2. DD Bug fix - Print to Reader CSS conversion was removing font-variant property of all style declaration.
  3. Project Bulk Document upload displays "Uploaded file is not in valid format." for xls file.
  4. Manuscript Import bug - If the manuscript had ordered list and unordered list, the importer would insert a <p> for <li>.

  5. DP Group name - There was an issue with the project name length, if length exceeded 80 char then it gave error to create Group so increased the char limit to 1000.

  6. Formats were not generating from the DP Main Interface Formats Form, if there was underscore in the Account Name.

  7. Bug fix for Keyboard save event after ctrl alt tab, in Writer Interface.

  8. Media Manager File upload Bug fix - A period(.) in the filename would cause the file upload issues. Ex, fig.1.2_01.tif would get saved as fig_print.tif on the server. All files with similar filename pattern would overwrite each other because of this bug.

  9. TIB Hyphenation launch window error, when page context changed from TIB.
  10. The inline MathML Editor now displays the preview also when Convert button is clicked.

  11. Bug Fix: Expanding Multiple Project Users Interfaces, and assigning users to a particular project was not working.

  12. TIB Mismatch Reporting - FX contains actual character for the soft hyphen and tib handles it as numeric entity. This caused the block mismatch and it showed up in the tib report. And on inspection, the soft-hyphen is not visible. Fix is to convert the character to same format for comparison.

  13. PDF output - Index sections had space comma appearing in some cases of indexterm in the Index Section.

  14. Indexer fixes - The following issues have fixed  a. Del key operation - Select a first/second level Index term and use keyboard Delete, deletes the third level index term   b. Select an index term, click on E, and use the Delete key, deletes the index term.   c. Select an index term, click on E, and use the Right/Left arrow, moves the term up in the hierarchy.

  15. PDF was unable to generate due to insertion of unwanted "<span class='nohyph-rw'>" by hyphenation process.

  16. Manuscript importer now handles DocTitlePage and BookTitlePage section conversions.

  17. Applying Font scheme to a Document fails for the first time. This happens in the case when the document CSS object has not been created using the CSS editor..

  18. HTML Importer: Handled the Named Entities during HTML File importer.
