Update Patch Release Notes

 

IGP:DP 7.0.0 - Updates, Upgrades & Enhancements

The following updates have been implemented in this release:

Design Library in IGP:Document Designer (DD)

Design Library is a new feature introduced in IGP:Document Designer. Design Library allows users to create and store a number of standard document designs and reuse them instantly when required.

Users add CSS features to a book, and then want to use those features for future books using the same CSS templates.

The specific feature list of Design Library is mentioned below:

  1. Open a CSS Design from a document template in DD, modify the design and apply it back to the document. (Current system). This is applied to Reader and Print CSS (Writer CSS is not changed)
  2. Open a CSS template from the document design library in DD, modify the design and save it to the DD design library (New feature). The user will have to provide a template name, the system will register who created the template.
  3. Open DD, open a CSS template from the CSS Template library, apply it to the document.
  4. Open DD, open a CSS template from the CSS Template library, modify it and apply it to the document (do not save it to the document template library.)

Analyse and Process Non-ASCII Languages

This feature is developed to auto recognize languages for Non-ASCII characters in writer content and apply span elements with its respective "language code".

This feature process each and every word separately to identify language.

In the first release this feature will support ninety seven (97) languages.

A new sub-section named Analyse and Process Non-ASCII Languages is now added to Content Tools interface.

This is a two phased process:

Phase 1: Check Languages - Detects languages and displays the possible language codes.

Phase 2: Process Languages - Processes the user supplied language code.

Segment Index processing update

ePub2 and ePub3 Segment Index processing is modified to identify "Auto index list heading". It now finds the first <li> in "list-index" block, then search for first character in <li> and mark that character as a "index list heading".

However, if that first character does not match, then user has to insert <h4> heading and insert correct character. This directs the processer to stop finding for "Auto index list heading" and force process to consider only user define "index list heading".

DOCX/ODT Processing Options

A new section named "DOCX/ODT Processing Options" is now introduced on the "Document Processing Setup" interface.

"Output Print Images." - If this option is checked the docx/odt format will include print resolution images. And if this option is unchecked it will by default include the online resolution images.

"Remove 'Exclude Print' Blocks." - If this option is checked the docx/odt format will exclude all the blocks that have class "exclude-print-rw" applied in a document.

"Remove 'Exclude Reader' Blocks." - If this option is checked the docx/odt format will exclude all the blocks that have class "exclude-reader-rw" applied in a document.

IGP:DP 7.0.0 - Presentation Template updates

The Master Presentation Templates will be updated by IGP during the update activity. If you have created any custom templates based on the IGP Master Templates, please check that these updates are applied in your templates if applicable.

  • MinimalCSS - This is a new Presentation template is created with Minimal CSS statements.

    The idea of introducing the MinimalCSS is to reduce the CSS and recommending the user to style the book using Document Designer to the particular styles they do have in their books.

    User will have to style the book in the Document Designer by setting up this template. However the Design Library feature would work with the existing presentation template also.
     
    This is a reduced version of the presentation template and almost blank, which is simple for editing purposes and to feed the styles from Document Designer based on the requirement.

  • New processing section "DOCX/ODT Processing Options" added in the DPI Form.

IGP:DP 7.0.0 - Bug Fixes

  1. Manuscript Import issue - Footnote/Note para was split into two para's in libreoffice output XHTML file, one para contained number and other contained its content. This is now fixed.

  2. Writer TOC was not loading in some cases. This happens sporadically, at random documents and to different users. This is now fixed.

  3. New Document Import - The message "Digital Publisher Archive Document Import Success." should dissapear when another writer archive is upload is in process.

  4. Section History Manager - Moved the Header "Section: $SECTION-NAME$  Delete All AutoSaves   Delete All Edits" just above the Table Header.

  5. ID generation and WellFormness did not raise exception when there was only "&" character in IGP:Writer Section content. (Only "&", not its name/decimal entity. This is now fixed.

  6. Notenum and noteref "ID Generation" had a different format, while moving notes from document end to section end using "Move Document End Notes to Section End". Now generated ID is same like ID generation after notes movement.

  7. DOC format - Removed soft hyphen in doc output and also removed extra spaces from all blocks.

  8. When the Document is been copied to the Project, without passing the Project Name, it displays "Error Unable to Load" message. This has been fixed. Also when the Document is been copied, the Document Title now automatically populates in the Copy interface Title field.

  9. Administration - The Remove button was not functional on the Remix Interface. This is now fixed.

  10. Writer Session Issue - When two documents are loaded at the same time, the session goes missing for one of the document, causing the Page Save Error. This is now fixed to display an alert message to the user "Document Session key is not present. Please load the document from catalog." Also additional logs have been added to debug the writer load issue.

  11. Removed "current_ip" used in DPI and Formats form default save feature and also handled the insertion of class="maintenance" and class="administration" while opening DPI and Formats form at maintenance/administration level.
